Welbeing welcomes news of the government's £180m life sciences strategy
The Prime Minister, David Cameron, this week announced the roll out of telehealth technology that will be funded as part of the government's £180 million life sciences strategy. Telehealth will support three million people with long term health conditions over the next five years.

Lifeline celebrates 25 years
Wealden and Eastbourne Lifeline (WEL) celebrated the 25th Anniversary of the local lifeline service at a garden party on Eastbourne seafront. In 1986, Eastbourne Borough Council and Wealden District Council saw the opportunity to use new technologies to provide people with a greater level of safety, security and reassurance, allowing them to continue enjoying independent living.

WEL awarded framework agreement for Assistive Technologies by Buying Solutions
Wealden & Eastbourne Lifeline (WEL) has successfully tendered for all five elements of the Buying Solutions Assistive Technologies Framework. This success builds on the company's previous Telecare purchasing agreement with NHS PASA, the NHS purchasing organisation.

Wealden and Eastbourne Lifeline (WEL) has welcomed three new staff (pictured) to the headquarters in St Leonards Road. The new team members joined colleagues in the contact centre and on reception.

Cyclists look well for a charity ride
The team at Wealden and Eastbourne Lifeline (WEL) were wary of saddle sore in the summer when they embarked on the world famous London to Brighton bike ride. Their ride was is in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
