NHS PASA choose WEL as Key Telecare provider
WEL are one of only seven telecare service providers to be appointed by the NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency (NHS PASA) as a supply partner in the National Telecare Framework Agreement to assist in the implementation of a major government initiative "Building Telecare in England".
The initiative aims to enable local authorities and health services to develop telecare services across the country and is supported by an 80 million investment from the Preventative Technology Grant.
The contract was won following a rigorous EU tendering exercise and has lead to East Sussex County Council selecting WEL to implement the regional Building Telecare programme.
Although advanced technology is a vital part of the service, just as important is the professionalism and care provided by the team at the response centre in Eastbourne -- staffed around the clock, 365-days-a-year by people who understand the needs of their customers and their communities.
Today it provides 24-hour support for more than 12,000 people and 40 local authorities, sheltered housing providers, voluntary organisations and care agencies throughout Sussex. During the past 12 months more than 1000 new subscribers have joined our popular Lifeline telecare service.
