Smart Sensors
Amie and Gem Personal Triggers
The amie and gem personal triggers allow people to make a call in an emergency without directly using the telephone and dialling a number. Calls can be made even if the phone unit is out of reach or in another room. Pushing the button activates the call centre and automatically opens up the phone line. Through the use of a powerful microphone and speaker a 2-way conversation can then be held even though the caller may not be in the immediate area of the call unit.
Radio Pull Cord
The radio pull cord can be placed around the home in convenient positions to allow the customer a convenient means of summoning help in an emergency.
Arm/Disarm Trigger
The arm/disarm trigger allows the user to arm and disarm their security system at the touch of a button as they leave/enter the premises
Zoning Button
The zoning button allows the user to arm and disarm their security system at the touch of a button. It allows for movement sensors in one part of the house to be switched off while others are left on. This allows, for example, movement upstairs at night time and also for the system to be set once the customer is in their bedroom, meaning that they do not have to try and rush upstairs before the alarm is fully set
Dummy External Alarm Box
The dummy external alarm box is mounted on the outside of the property in order to act as a visual warning to would-be intruders
Bogus Caller/Panic Button
The bogus caller/panic button is similar to the personal triggers, but can also be wall mounted by the door.
Door Entry System
The Door entry system allows both visual and audible identification of a caller before an external door is opened. The door can be remotely opened by the customer. The system can also be set up to allow the door to be remotely opened from the monitoring centre in order to allow carer/emergency services access following the receipt of an emergency call.
Keyless Door Access Trigger
The Keyless door access trigger is based on the Gem pendant, this allows authorised carers access to a customer's property once an alarm call has been raised and the need for onsite help has been determined.
KeySafe
The Permanent GE KeySafe provides convenient, managed access to stored keys (max. 5). The StrongBox design has a solid track record for unmatched quality and security in residential and small business applications. The code can be changed anytime for added security.
Property Exit Sensor
The property exit sensor provides an alert when a customer has walked out of their door and not returned so that carers can ensure their welfare. The sensor can also be set to detect if a door is left open for a set period of time so that action can be taken quickly to secure the building.
Bed/Chair Occupancy Sensor
The bed occupancy sensor is to protect people who get up in the middle of the night from their beds and then fail to return after a specified time has elapsed. Parameters are set up as to the duration of time. This can also be set up to register if a customer has failed to go to bed at night, or not got up in the morning. The chair occupancy sensor can relay when someone is moving from a chair and may be prone to falls, if there has been no movement for a length of time and also to trigger lights coming on when the person leaves their seat.
Falls Detector
The falls detector works by first detecting the impact from a fall. It then looks at the user's orientation through a second sensor. If the wearer is in a lying down position the sensor will trigger a timer, which, if the position does not change after 15 seconds, will activate an emergency call sending a radio alarm signal to the home unit, which then activates a call to the monitoring centre.
Enuresis Sensor
The Enuresis sensor provides a discrete and efficient means of detecting occurrence of enuresis the moment it happens so that a carer can quickly help with the situation. A thin waterproof matt is positioned under the bottom sheet of the bed.
Carbon Monoxide Emissions Detector
The carbon monoxide emissions detector gives an immediate alert as to the presence of dangerous carbon monoxide emissions.
Smoke Detector
The smoke detector gives an immediate alert as to the presence of smoke. Two alarms are raised; the first is a local alarm bell, the second sends a signal to our monitoring centre.
Pillow Alert
The pillow alert provides a smoke alarm alert for sleeping customers by the use of a vibrating pad positioned underneath the pillow. It also features a strobe light for additional warning when the user is out of bed.
Flood Detector
The wireless flood detector is placed under a sink or in a bathroom situation where flooding is most likely. If a flood is detected the detector provides two types of alarm; the first is a local audio alarm to warn the customer, the second via the telecare home unit to our monitoring centre.
Gas Shut-off Valve
If an appliance has been left on so that gas is leaking out in to a room the sensor will automatically switch off the supply. An audible alarm is given and a signal sent to our monitoring centre.
Gas Detector
The gas detector provides an immediate alert to unlit gas appliances being left on.
Extreme Temperature Sensor
The extreme temperature sensor monitors for excessively high and low temperatures, including rapid rises in temperature. The sensor is normally installed within the kitchen environment.
Medication Dispenser
The medication dispenser can be used to automatically provide access to medication over a 28-day period. It has both audio and visual alerts to the user each time medication should be taken. If a user fails to take medication an alert is sent to the monitoring centre or carer so that action can be taken.
Big Button Telephone
An easy to use telephone specifically designed for people with limited dexterity, poor sight or who have hearing difficulties. This telephone has large black button keys with white numbering, which are the colours recommended by the RNIB in order to maximise contrast making it easy to use, particularly for the visually impaired.
Ruggedised Alarm
Ruggedised alarm hub system allowing sensors to be connected in locations that do not have a telephone landline and are perhaps environmentally challenging. The equipment also has increased durability.
Home Alert Pager
The home alert pager enables carers to be notified of alarm calls when they are at home or in the garden rather than routing them to the response centre.
PIR Infrared Movement Detector
The PIR infrared movement detector can be used to detect inactivity or, for security, the presence of an intruder. The wireless PIR detector provides superior motion detection and reliable long-term operation whilst minimising false calls.
Pressure Mat
This enables the response centre to monitor inactivity or can be used to detect intruders. The mat can be hard wired into home equipment or wireless when used in conjunction with a Radio Output Module.
