"I think it is wonderful to have a lifeline. I feel safer now I have one and know someone is on the other end if I need it. Thank you."

WEL welcome for new staff

WEL new members of staff

Wealden and Eastbourne Lifeline (WEL) has welcomed three new staff (pictured) to the headquarters in St Leonards Road. The new team members joined colleagues in the contact centre and on reception.

WEL recently secured a ground-breaking new contract with West Sussex County Council for the provision of telecare services to people being discharged from hospital. Telecare includes a wide range of easy to use technology that helps people to live independently in their own homes. This council success is one of many in the last twelve months for the business and explains why the recruitment of skilled new staff is a top priority.

Managing Director, Mark Bannister, said:

"While our growth is strong and very exciting for everyone at WEL, it is essential that we never compromise on the quality of service to our customers. By attracting really good staff and involving them in a comprehensive programme of training, we are able to maintain the high standards that people have come to expect."
