The Telecare Services Association (TSA) election for new Board members for England and Ireland has recently been carried out. Welbeing is delighted to announce that its Chief Executive Officer, Steve Smith, has been successful in being elected to the board with immediate effect.
Steve has over 30 years of experience in the telecare sector including Managing Director roles within Modern Vitalcall, Cirrus Communications/Careline UK and Tunstall Healthcare as well as significant consulting experience as Director of HPS Consulting. He also helped the Spanish government in setting up a nationwide telecare service including the provision of 42 call centres. After supporting the Welbeing management team for 4 years, Steve joined the board and became CEO of Welbeing in December 2013.

My focus will be on meeting the needs of the membership in times of change and challenge. The Telecare Services Association (TSA) is the industry body for telecare and telehealth, and the largest industry specific network in Europe. It is a not-for-profit membership based organisation, with a current membership of over 350 organisations. Membership includes organisations from Local Authorities, Registered Social Landlords, Health, private sector service providers, private sector technology suppliers, telecoms and infrastructure providers. The TSA supports the majority of the 1.7 million service users who benefit from telecare and telehealth in the UK.
