Welbeing has been successful in its bid to provide telehealthcare solutions through the new telecare and telehealth equipment framework led by Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation (ESPO).
Welbeing was selected following a competitive tender process which assessed our experience and suitability prior to inclusion on the framework. It will allow ESPO members to access Welbeing’s fully managed services and extensive industry experience.
This ESPO framework offers customers a quick, simple and competitively-priced way of buying telecare and telehealth equipment. The procurement work has already been done so it means that there’s no need for buyers to run a full EU tender. Even though this is a fast-developing field, the framework is designed to be ‘dynamic’ – new technologies and products can be included as they are proven.
The framework is available for use nationally throughout the UK by any public sector body including Local Authorities, NHS and Public health organisations, Central Government departments and their agencies, Registered Charities and Social Housing providers.
Steve Smith, Welbeing CEO, said “We are delighted to be part of the ESPO framework where we were selected based on our expertise and suitability. It will enable public sector buyers to come to us for their telehealthcare needs from our team of experts without having to run a full EU tender knowing quality is assured.”
ESPO is a customer-focused, public sector owned professional buying organisation. They are committed to getting the most for their customers by pursuing best practice in procurement, sourcing, supply chain partner support and management, contract management and EU compliance.
Established in 1981, ESPO has the purchasing power to achieve savings to pass on to customers. ESPO is jointly owned by the following member authorities:
- Leicestershire County Council
- Lincolnshire County Council
- Cambridgeshire County Council
- Norfolk County Council
- Warwickshire County Council
- Peterborough City Council
