Welbeing 2018 – introducing lifeline support to new markets

2018 has certainly been a busy year for Welbeing. There have been many notable and significant moments for the company over the last 12 months. These include Doro acquiring the business. This is an exciting move that will drive the company forwards. The company has a wealth of experience in the seniors market to bring to the Welbeing brand.

We also brought our campaign #OurWelbeing to the forefront of our marketing. The campaign encouraged our customers to live healthier happier and more fulfilling lives. We introduced some of the people behind the brand via our ‘meet the team’ blog. This means you can see the real people speaking to our customers. We’ve also settled in to our new HQ in Eastbourne.September 2018 saw us mark one year since the move to our new premises.

In keeping with true Welbeing tradition, this year our team have shared many tips on health, lifeline and wellbeing on our blog. We’ve covered everything from beating everyday stress, to coping during retirement and caring for someone with dementia. We have continued to ensure our blog remains a useful place for the elderly and their loved ones to visit for advice, support and education.

Lifeline support

Another huge milestone for Welbeing during 2018 was launching our online shop. This has allowed us to reach more customers than ever before. We are now offering an easy order online and self set-up process for some of our most popular products; the smoke detector and lifeline pendant and alarm.

We were also thrilled during 2018 to be able to assist those leaving hospital in living independently in Cumbria. This came as we won the contract to deliver telecare to Eden Housing Association. Patients who are prone to falls were able to start receiving 13 weeks of free lifeline support post hospital stay.

In addition to this, 2018 was also the year that saw us offer over 5,000 people in Norwich access to telecare support. This was via our acquisition of the Norwich City Council’s alarm service. We also produced our annual report earlier this year, outlining our achievements during 2017 and our plans for driving the business forward.
