Fixed near the door, the bogus caller button is an emergency panic button that will provide reassurance for anyone who is concerned about the potential risks of unwanted callers.
The bogus caller button allows an alarm call to be easily and discreetly placed to our monitoring centre, should you or a loved one feel uncomfortable or threatened by a visitor at the door. Reassurance and peace of mind for anyone who is concerned about the potential risks of unwanted callers.
How does it work?
This small red button is for keeping by a doorway when used as a bogus caller button, or can be kept elsewhere in the property when used as a panic button and allows the user to call for help in a discrete way. When pressed it will stay silent so the contact centre can listen and send help as necessary.
Why is it needed?
Vulnerable people are often targeted by unwanted callers, for example feeling intimidated at the door, or being suspicious of a salesman or trader. This button allows people to live independently at home knowing they only need to press the button for help.
What is telecare?
Telecare helps to manage risk and support independence by means of unobtrusive wireless sensors placed around the home which detect possible problems such as smoke, gas, flood or a person falling.
