Our smoke alarm provides increased reassurance by not only sensing smoke in the home and raising an audible alarm but also notifying our 24 hour monitoring centre who will speak to you to identify the problem or contact the emergency services if needed.
If you have family or friends who are vulnerable or living alone, you will already know that worrying about their welfare and safety is inevitable. A smoke alarm is for anyone who is at risk in their home and requires additional peace of mind, especially smokers.

How does it work?
Smoke alarms automatically sound an alarm in the home when they detect smoke. They also automatically send an alarm to the contact centre at the same time allowing the most appropriate and immediate action to be taken.
By using wireless technology, there is minimal disruption to fixtures and fittings during the installation process and smoke alarms can be easily relocated should the need arise.
Why is it needed?
Fire is by far one of the most serious threats to people at home. Every year house fires cause hundreds of deaths and damage many homes. Homes with a smoke alarm discover fires more rapidly than those without, and are associated with lower casualty rates and less damage.
The importance of a smoke alarm linked to a contact centre cannot be stressed enough. It ensures that the contact centre can contact the emergency services on behalf of the vulnerable adult who may not hear or be able to respond to a stand-alone alarm.
What is telecare?
Telecare helps to manage risk and support independence by means of unobtrusive wireless sensors placed around the home which detect possible problems such as smoke, gas, flood or a person falling.
